Paint Class: Art and Mingle with Ana Miro Herrans (Morning Session)

Come make art and a new friend!

Super FUN art class for the whole family. This is a half-guided (by instructor), half-free-hand painting class, for all ages and abilities.Art mediums can include acrylic, watercolor, or mix media.All materials are included with the ticket, including aprons, although we recommend wearing clothes you are comfortable getting messy in.Come with a friend, family member, significant other, or with your children and create masterpieces to put up on your wall.

Based in Los Angeles since 2012, Ana Miro is a Puerto Rican artist and educator. Growing up with a few developmental delays, her mother - an early childhood education specialist - introduced her to art, dance and theater classes from a young age. These activities helped her with concentration and re-directed her high energy into something productive and fun. She made it a goal to get professional training in visual arts, theater and dance. Ana attended a specialized Art High School and earned a BA in Theater Arts, with a minor in Special Education and Dance Education at the University of Puerto Rico, finishing her Masters Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction in 2023. 

During her college years, she joined the University’s Traveling Theater group where she stumbled upon the only other form of art she would love as much as dancing and visual arts … Makeup. Just after graduating college Ana moved to LA to keep pursuing her love for the arts and makeup. Throughout her time in LA she has worked as an arts educator, a makeup artist in short films, commercials, music videos, web series, fashion shows, red carpet events and weddings, danced in various renowned dance festivals across LA , acted in plays, musicals and short films, and worked as the personal assistant of Pop Artist Burton Morris. Being in LA and surrounded by so much ART, her love for makeup just grew stronger, getting specially interested in Special Effects, TV and Film, for which she decided to go back to school for in 2016. In 2019 she finally decided to venture on her own and her 2 businesses were born:

• The Artsy Wagon- a mobile art studio
• Miro Makeups- Professional makeup and sfx services.

The arts became a way of life for her, shaping her into the balanced person she is today. She began teaching children when she was 14 and has continued since. She has taught dance, art, theater and makeup to all ages. Her teaching style focuses on the process of creating, not the product. Her intention is to strengthen each person’s capacity for expression. She directs students to experience and study a wide variety of mediums, integrating art into their everyday lives. The arts saved Ana’s life, shaping how she lives and teaches. Her purpose has always been to use art as both a way to express oneself and also as a tool to explore and learn about the world.

Once a class is purchased, it is non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and not eligible for store credit for any reason, including but not limited to scheduling conflicts, travel issues, technical difficulties, or personal circumstances.
