FAQs

What’s the safest way to remove Kryolan Fixing Spray from skin?
  • Soak a washcloth or sponge in warm water, and gently rub the skin.
  • Then, use a mild soap or cleanser and lather it up to emulsify the residual makeup under the Kryolan spray. 
  • Next, gently massage the affected area with the same warm, wet washcloth for a couple of minutes before rinsing off. 
  • Use a moisturizer to counter the drying effects of the alcohol spray.

How do I remove Kryolan Aquacolor or grease-based paints quickly on set?

Kryolan face paint is water-based, dissolving with warm water and a cleanser. Grease-based paints, like Kryolan Rubber Mask Grease, won’t come off with soap and water. Use an oil-based remover like Kryolan Hydro Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, or Ben Nye Bond Off! to gently dissolve the product. 

Wipe away with a soft cloth or lint-free pad, and then clean the skin or prosthetic with mild soap and water to remove any residue. Avoid using alcohol, as it can damage latex or irritate skin.

Follow up with a professional makeup remover or a foaming cleanser to get the rest of it.
