Kryolan Pre-Impression Cap Small
A thin, soft cap which can be used to protect a model's hair during a lifecast, underneath a prosthetic or as a bald cap.
Pre-Impression Cap is a Bald Cap made from very soft, colorless Glatzan, originally designed to protect hair when a face cast or head impression using Alginate or Silicone MF is taken. This cap is also suitable for single use baldness effects.
In order to apply, first smooth down your model's hair, moving any bulky braids or ponytails to the back neck portion, then slide the cap on gently, pulling it taut without tearing it. For the edges, adhere using prosaide, telesis or your preferred skin safe adhesive, working section by section and keeping the cap taut as you go. Once the cap is fully adhered, cut away any excess material and stipple prosaide over the seam, letting it dry in between coats, in order to ensure that the blend is seamless. From there if you're looking to create a bald cap effect paint accordingly, being careful not to use alcohol based paints directly on the cap itself.
